There
will be more than one winner
at
Super Bowl XLIII,
thanks to ...
SuperBuild 2009
We’re
bringing
the game home for both football fans
and 20 families
in need of safe, affordable houses.
Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County and Habitat
for Humanity of Pinellas County have joined forces with
the NFL's Community Impact Program for
Super Bowl XLIII
to
provide 20 families with
decent, affordable homes
to live and raise their families.
SuperBuild 2009
has a local interest, international reach and an element
tied to the outcome of the Super Bowl game itself.
Three
weeks of “blitz” building
by volunteers from the Tampa Bay area will culminate in
the ultimate tailgate
giveaway -
The
Champion's House. On Super
Bowl Sunday everyone will be rooting for the home team.
Starting the morning of Super Bowl and ending at
kickoff, volunteers and fans will build a Habitat home
to be awarded to a Habitat affiliate in the home state
of the winning Super Bowl team.
We
are creating a legacy event that can be successfully
duplicated by Habitat for Humanity affiliates at future
Super Bowls.
